SPAS is an International network of organisations capable to give a mentoring service to SMEs working in the agro-food sector, providing them opportunities to participate in the Framework Programme which is the UE financial instrument for a better use of European research efforts.
 
   

This initiative's goal is to foster and raise the successful involvement of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) and SME groupings in Life Sciences related research projects (Biotechnology, Genomics …) of the 6th EU Framework Programme (FP6).

  TrainNet Future

Training network for National Contact Points and support organisations with special focus on Candidate Countries in the areas of Food Quality and Safety. This initiative aims at ensuring an increased number of successful participants for FP6 and at fostering the cooperation between research communities from Member States, Associated and Candidate Countries, thus contributing to the creation of a real European Research Area.

CEC Animal Science

This initiative has four main objectives :

  • To encourage animal science sector organisations originated from the acceding & candidate countries to take part in European research projects.
  • To have competencies of acceding and candidate countries in the animal science sector known in member countries.
  • More generally, to promote co-operation in acceding and candidate countries,
  • And to prepare and facilitate the integration of those countries into the European Union
